E. F. Webb was a lawyer from Waterville, Maine, and served as speaker of the Maine House of Representatives in 1873 and as president of the Maine Senate in 1875. J. F. (Jonathan Fuller) Parkhurst was born in 1829 in Unity, Maine, and owned the J.F. Parkhurst and Son Co. in Bangor, dealers in saddlery hardware, blankets, robes, etc. and manufacturers of trunks and bags. He died in Unity in 1902.
